• Sculpture entitled “A Mother’s Heart” is currently on exhibition at UPAKA, located at  6875 El Cajon Blvd, San Diego. 
• Ella Fitzgerald,  Eartha Kitt, Diane Schuur and Sarah Vaughn, part of “Ladies in Jazz” pen & ink series are on exhibition at San Diego Coffee, Tea & Spice Marlborough and Adams, San Diego 
• Laura Jean has appeared on “Community Issues: A Tapestry of Concerns” on Cable Channel 18/23 in a panel of progressive San Diegans.  The show aired in June and Laura Jean will be interviewed again on this same show as President of Women’s Caucus for Art/San Diego. The schedule is also be negotiated for her appearance on two other cable TV shows.
• Laura Jean has been chosen as one of the judges for the US Open Sandcastle Competition in Imperial Beach.  This competition is the largest sandcastle competition in the United States, awarded in excess of $7500 in cash awards.  The competition is July 12 and 13 in Imperial Beach, California.
• In September Laura Jean be part of the Imperial Beach ArtWalk.  She will be painting on the pier and her painting will be available for auction on the following day.  The ArtWalk is September  13 and 14 at the Imperial Beach Pier Park.
